JPR Commodities is owned by Allen & Susan Crisp. Allen was raised on the Crisp family farm and went to college at Arkansas State University where he graduated in 1977 with a degree in accounting. He began his own farming operation in 1980 and found first hand that marketing and hedging was going to be the key to the future of successful farming operations. In 1981 Allen and Susan began attending seminars and studying market information. By 1983 their farming and marketing experience led them into a whole new career in the commodity brokerage business.
